Bed Sheet Sizes in the UAE: King, Super King and Emperor in cm
You bought the mattress in the UAE, so its size is in centimetres. Then the sheets say King, Super King or Emperor, and nobody tells you what those words mean in cm.
Here it is. On our fitted sheets, a Single is 90 x 200 cm, a Double is 140 x 200, a Queen is 150 x 200, a King is 160 x 200, a Super King is 180 x 200 and an Emperor is 200 x 200. Measure your mattress, match the width, and you are done. The detail is below.
Bed sheet sizes in the UAE, in cm
These are the fitted sheet sizes we make for the UAE. The first number is the width of the mattress, the second is the length, the third is the depth.
- Single: 90 x 200 x 30 cm
- Double: 140 x 200 x 30 cm
- Queen: 150 x 200 x 30 cm
- King: 160 x 200 x 30 cm
- Super King: 180 x 200 x 30 cm
- Emperor: 200 x 200 x 30 cm
Every size is 200 cm long. The only thing that changes is the width. So the one number you need from your mattress is how wide it is.
One thing to watch. A few of our designs list King at 150 x 200. The size chart on each product page is the last word. Open it before you order.
King, Super King or Emperor: which one is your bed
The names are not the same in every country, and that is where most wrong orders come from. A King in the United States is wider than a King here. A King in the UK is narrower than a Super King. Ignore the name. Go by the centimetres.
- Your mattress is 160 cm wide: King.
- Your mattress is 180 cm wide: Super King.
- Your mattress is 200 cm wide: Emperor.
- Your mattress is 150 cm wide: Queen.
If your mattress sits between two sizes, do not size up and hope. A fitted sheet that is too wide will not stay tight. Write to us with the measurements and we will tell you what fits.
How to measure your mattress
It takes two minutes and a tape measure. Take the sheets off first.
- Width. Side to side, across the middle.
- Length. Head to foot.
- Depth. From the bottom seam to the top, at the highest point. If you use a mattress topper, measure with it on.
Depth is the one people skip. Our fitted sheets have a 30 cm pocket. A mattress deeper than that, or a mattress plus a thick topper, will pull the corners off in the night.
Flat sheet sizes
A flat sheet has to cover the mattress and tuck in on three sides, so it is much bigger than the bed.
- Single: 160 x 280 cm
- Double: 210 x 280 cm
- King: 240 x 280 cm
- Super King: 270 x 280 cm

Duvet cover sizes
A duvet cover is sized to the duvet, not to the bed. Check the label on your duvet insert and match it.
- Single: 150 x 220 cm
- Queen: 200 x 200 cm
- Double: 220 x 220 cm
- King: 240 x 220 cm
- Super King: 260 x 220 cm
Some Super King covers are 260 x 240, so check the chart on the page. A cover a few centimetres bigger than the duvet is fine. A cover that is smaller will bunch the filling. See the duvet cover sets.
Pillowcase size
Our standard pillowcase is 50 x 75 cm. Pillows vary more than mattresses do, so measure one of yours before you order.
Three mistakes that are easy to avoid
- Ordering by name. King means different things in different places. Order by centimetres.
- Forgetting the topper. A topper adds depth. Measure with it on.
- Buying the cover for the bed. The duvet cover follows the duvet.
